Seniors Trip Schedule 2019

The Town of Greenfield sponsors trips for Senior Residents and provides the coaches.  When available, seating will be offered to members of other Senior Groups (who are not Town residents) & other folks residing outside the Town.  Payment should be made a month in advance of the date of the trip unless otherwise stated.  If you find you cannot go after signing up please notify the trip coordinator, in case there is a standby list.  Any Questions, call Sandy Ovitt 518-584-8943.

6:30 a.m.       Depart Greenfield. Stop enroute (1/2 hour)

11:00 a.m.     Arrive Hotel Anthracite, Coffee and apple streusel cake served, Artisan jewelry, gifts and local specialty food                                available.

11:30 a.m.     Live music and dancing

Noon             Open bar with draft beer, wine and soda

12:30 p.m.    Lunch served family style:

10:00 a.m.  Arrive Turning Stone Casino. Enjoy your time relaxing, playing the games or Bingo. The bonus is controlled by the                       casino. Upon arrival there will be a Welcome Ambassador that will greet the bus. Each passenger can choose if                           they want the casino package or bingo package. At this time the Casino package is $25.00 free play and $5.00                           meal ticket the Bingo package is $20.00 Bingo and $5.00 meal ticket. Also on Wednesday's you are eligible for a                         100 point bonus and a U spin bonus. If you do not have a player's card you will need to sign up for the player's                             card to get the extra bonus.

12:00 p.m. Enjoy panoramic views of lake Champlain and the Vermont Mountains while enjoying delicious food and beverage.                        Our Scenic Narrated Cruise will fascinate travelers with our Captain's tales of history, geology and wildlife. Bring your                    camera, just in case you see Champ, our elusive lake monster.

                  Our Executive Chef prepares fresh entrees, buffets and snack bar items from our on-board galley. 11:00 A.m.  Train departs with or without us! Passengers embarking on the Rip Van Winkle Flyer are transported on a journey                          back to the sophisticated atmosphere of the early days of railroading. The creme of the fleet at the Delaware and                            Ulster Railroad, the Rip Van Winkle Flyer harkens visitors to a period when life's pace was more measured and                              good conversation was cherished entertainment.

                    Lunch on the train, please pick one Entree when you sign up. Chicken Marsala or Stuffed Pork Lion or Tortellini                              Primavera All lunches will come with a fresh salad, With sides such as roasted new potatoes and Seasonal                                    vegetables, spring water, coffee and tea.
