At 7:23 a Public Hearing was called to order to consider proposed Local Law #2- 2018, Tax Cap Override. The Town Clerk presents proof of publication. Paul Bouchard asks if there has been any changes. Supervisor Pemrick states no. The increase would help the recreation program to expand Summer Camp and to improve Middle Grove Park’s play area also provide our continued support of our Town Road improvement program. Also, Wilton EMS services have gone up and a new truck is needed for the Building Dept.,the current SUV will go to Dog Control. Supervisor Pemrick states that the increase for a home valued at $200,000 will be $10.00 per year, $250,000 will be $12.50 and so forth. Johnson, C. states that next Thursday, Nov. 8th is another opportunity to speak as that will be the actual Public Hearing on the Budget. There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 7:26PM.
At 7:27 PM a Special Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Pemrick with the following members present: Daniel Pemrick, Supervisor; Daniel Cochran and MaryAnn Johnson, Councilpersons. Also present were Walter Barss, Superintendent of Highways, Duane Wright, Deputy Superintendent of Highways and 3 residents. Absent were Rick Capasso and Kevin Veitch, Councilmen. Supervisor Pemrick states we held a public hearing regarding the possibility of a Tax Cap Override.
RESOLTUION #136- ADOPT LOCAL LAW #2-2018 – TAX CAP OVERRIDE
Motion: Johnson, C.
Seconded: Cochran, C.
RESOLVED, That the Town Board hereby adopts Local Law #2-2018 to override the Tax Levy Limit established on General Municipal Law 3-C.
VOTE: Ayes: Pemrick, Cochran, Johnson
Noes: None Absent: Capasso, Veitch
On a motion by Cochran, C. and seconded by Johnson, C, the meeting was closed at 7:28PM.
