2016 Trip Schedule
The Town of Greenfield sponsors trips for Senior Residents and provides the coaches. When available, seating will be offered to members of other Senior Groups (who are not Town residents) & other folks residing outside the Town. Payment should be made a month in advance of the date of the trip unless otherwise stated. If you find you cannot go after signing up please notify the trip coordinator, in case there is a standby list.
ALL PAYMENTS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO GREENFIELD SENIORS.
Seniors Trip Schedule 2016
Wednesday, March 16th - Aqua Turf, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration - Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 7:30AM. Arrive at Aqua Turf at 11:00 AM. Enjoy self-serve coffee and donuts upon arrival. Lunch will be at noon with a choice of salad, pasta, corn beef and cabbage or baked scrod, carrots and potatoes with scrumptious carrot cake to follow. Enjoy the show with the MacLean Avenue Band. Padraig Allen and the McLean Avenue Band have their very own sound with a distinctive mix between Old Irish Celtic Folklore and Rock Pop Celtic music of today! Depart Aqua Turf at 3:30 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 7:00 PM Cost - $42.00
Tuesday, April 6th - Country Anthem’s Erhardt’s Waterfront Resort - Bus leaves the Community Center at 6:45 AM Arrive At Erhardt’s at 11:00 AM. Coffee and apple streusel cake will be served. The gift shop will be open! Enjoy Live Music and Dancing at 11:30 AM. Open bar at noon with draft beer, wine and soda (cash bar for mixed drinks). Family Style Lunch at 12:30 PM with broccoli salad, home baked bread, roast turkey with gravy, sliced eye round of beef, penna ala vodka, strawberry cheesecake, coffee and tea. At 2:00 PM enjoy the Country Anthems Show. Put on you western duds, kick up your heels and get ready for a grand ole time! Be sure to wear your dancing shoes – this is one show you won’t take sitting down! Depart Erhard’s at t 3:30 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 7:30 PM. Cost - $41.00
Tuesday, May 17th - Turning Stone Casino - Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 7:00 AM. Arrive at Turning Stone Casino at 10:00 AM. Upon arrival choose between Want Bingo ($20.00 Bingo Dollars and $5.00 meal ticket) OR Casino Bonus ($25.00 Free Play and $5.00 meal ticket). 12:45 PM – 4:00 PM Main session of Bingo. Depart Turning Stone at 5 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 8:00 PM. Cost - $2.00
Wednesday, June 22nd - Tiki, Lake George - Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 11:00AM. Arrive at Tiki at 11:30 AM. Lunch is at noon with either polynesian pork served with light sauce for dipping OR coconut shrimp with light dipping sauce OR fresh garden salad, chef’s vegetable and rice. Rolls, dessert and beverage are included. Indicate your entrée choice at sign-up. During lunch in the Waikiki Supper Club enjoy a fantastic show featuring Hula dancers and a spectacular fire and sword dance with native pageantry and costumes. Depart Tiki at 3:00 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 4:00 PM - Cost $51.00
Wednesday, July 20th - Erie Canal Cruise and BBQ - Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 8:00 AM. Board the Lil’ Diamond II at the Rotary Park Marina (74 Southern Ave. Little Falls, NY 13365) at 10:45 AM. At 11:00 AM set sail and experience the “liquid elevator” while listening to the educational narration as you cruise through what once was the highest lock in the world. At 11:45 AM arrive at the Herkimer Home dock and enjoy pavilion tent-style lunch from the Promised Land BBQ at 12:00 PM. At 1:00 tour the historic General Nichols Herkimer Home and watch an 18th Century Chocolate Making Demonstration. At 2:45 PM return to the dock and cruise back to the Marina and depart for Greenfield. Arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 6:00 PM. Cost - $50.00
Thursday, August 18th - Mac-Hayden Theatre - Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 10:15 AM. At noon enjoy a buffet lunch at Jackson Old Chatham House. At 1:15 PM depart for the Mac-Haydn Theatre and settle in for the 2:00 PM showing of Sister Act. This hysterical hit, based on the blockbuster movie will leave you in high spirits as a young woman helps others raise their voice while she is struggling to find her own! Depart at 3:30 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 6:00 PM - Cost $52.00
Thursday, September 15th - Lake George Steamboat - Bus leaves from the Greenfield Community Center at 10:30 AM. At 11:00 Board the Lac du Saint Sacrament, the largest ship on the inland waters of New York State. At 12:00 PM enjoy a buffet lunch and entertainment in the elegant dining room while cruising by the beautiful mountain wilderness of Lake George. There are no bad seats! Depart for Greenfield at 2:30 and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 3:30 PM. Cost $38.00
Tuesday, October 25th - Williams Inn-Germanfest, Wiliamstown, MA - Bus leaves from the Greenfield Community Center at 9:00 AM. At 11:30 arrive at the Williams Inn and enjoy a buffet lunch with German favorites like lentil soup, smoked pork, sauerkraut, red cabbage and all the ‘…wursts…’ Celebrate Oktoberfest with the interactive German influenced entertainment. Participate in stories of German heritage with Austrian and Bavarian music on traditional instruments. Depart for Greenfield at 3:15 and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 6:00 PM. Cost $54.00
Tuesday, November 15th - 2016 Christmas Memories - Bus leaves from the Greenfield Community Center at 10:15 AM. Arrive at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy at 11:15 AM. Enjoy lunch at 11:30 AM with lemon chicken, garlic smashed potatoes, chef’s vegetable, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert. At 1:00 PM enjoy the Christmas Memories show with the Latshaw Pops Orchestra singer and dancers. Spend the most wonderful time of the year revelling in the joyful traditions of Christmas with the gifted 20 piece orchestra. Depart for Greenfield at 3:00 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 4:00 PM. Cost $58.00
Tuesday, December 20th - 2016 Jimmy Mazz – Hall of Springs Holiday Wishes - Bus leaves from the Greenfield Community Center at 10:45 AM. Arrive at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs at 11:15 AM. At noon enjoy a plated meal of salad, chicken parmesan, dessert and coffee while you watch the show. Travel back to the days of the variety specials featuring both classic and contemporary holiday tunes. Singer/entertainer Jimmy Mazz provides a heart-warming and exciting show full of melodies and memories. Wear your dancing shoes and celebrate this magical season with Jimmy! Depart for Greenfield at 3:15 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 3:45 PM. Cost $40.00
