     The Town of Greenfield Seniors meet at the Town of Greenfield Community Center at

1 PM every 2nd & 4th Thursday. President - Sandra Kanar 893-7445

2017 Trip Schedule

The Town of Greenfield sponsors trips for Senior Residents and provides the coaches.  When available, seating will be offered to members of other Senior Groups (who are not Town residents) & other folks residing outside the Town.  Payment should be made a month in advance of the date of the trip unless otherwise stated.  If you find you cannot go after signing up please notify the trip coordinator, in case there is a standby list.  Any Questions, call Pat Brust 584-3318.

Seniors Trip Schedule 2017

Thursday, March 16th  -  Log Cabin, Holyoke, MA, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration  -  Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 8:45 AM.  Arrive at Log Cabin at 11:30 AM. Enjoy Hors d'oeuvre Welcome Platter on arrival. Lunch will be at noon with a Complimentary Glass of Wine or Glass of Guinness Beer, Rolls and Butter, Irish Soda Bread, Irish Stew, Traditional Corned-Beef Dinner, followed with Bailey's Irish Creme Cake, Coffee and Tea. Enjoy the show featuring Gerry Malone and the Lads. "Galway Bay," "MacNamara's Bank," Danny Boy' are a few of the tunes you'll sing along and clap to as Gerry Malone and the Lads take you through their Irish Pub routine. You will dance and laugh and enjoy these masters of Irish mirth  Depart Log Cabin at 3:00 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 5:30 PM   Cost - $55.00

Wednesday, April 19th -  ???Haunted???, Saratoga Springs, NY - Bus leaves the

Greenfield Community Center at 9:00 AM. Meet our tour guide at the Saratoga Visitors

Center. Restrooms available. Yaddo Gardens and house - power point presentation by

folks from Yaddo. Hear their stories and see pictures. 10:45 AM arrive at Old Bryan Inn

to see if the ghose is in. 11:00 AM Lunch: Please choser entree when signing up: 1)

Roasted Apple Pork Loin with Brown Sugar, Horseradish, and Pepper Rub topped with

Cider Demi-glace and Apple Fig Chutney 2) Oven baked Golden Herbed Haddock is

Broiler Finished with a Parmesan Rosemary Crust, and Served Aside Zucchini-Summer

Squash Gratin. Fresely Baked Butternilk Biscuits, Chef's Vegetable, starch, Rich

Chocolate Mousse with Whipped Cream Topping, coffee, tea or soda. 12:00 PM board

motorcoach. 12:15 PM Depart Old Bryan Inn. 12:30 PM Canfield Casino tour guide will

guide you around the Canfield and tell you about the resident ghose who may or may not

Tuesday, May 9th  -  Jimmy Mazz, Schenectady, NY  -  Bus leaves the Community Center at 10:30 AM  Arrive at Mallozzi's at 11:30 AM. Lunch is served at 12:00 PM. Enjoy Chicken Francese, salad, pasta, vegetable, dessert, coffee or tea.  At 1:30 PM enjoy A Little Bit Country Little Bit Rock and Roll with Jimmy Mazz. Grab yer guitar, git yer boots on, tilt yer cowboy hat and git ready to Yeeeee Hawww your way thru this rolli8ng fountry romp mixed with a healthy serving of Rock and Roll. Depart Mallozzi's at t 3:30 PM and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 4:44 PM.  Cost - $46.00

Wednesday, June 21st -  Murder by Chocolate, Georgian, Lake Geroge, NY - Bus

leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 9:30 AM. Arrive at Double H 10:30 AM a visit

to Double H Hole in the Woods. Seniors need to contact to make sure they are there to

receive your donation. 11:00 AM depart Double H Hole in the Woods. 11:30 AM arrive at

 the Georgian, Lake George. 12:00 PM lunch, plated no meal choices needed. 12:30 PM

Murder cafe-Murder by Chocolate. Dan Crunkle, owner of Dan-Dewe-Can-Dee, is merging

with Hershel Crackleberry his biggest competitor. Dan's dinner guests include his soft son

Junior, nutty ex-wife Sister Hazel, creamy girlfriend Lola, crunchy attorney Marsha Mallow

and brittle chocolatire Rollo Goodbahr. Someone will poison Dan's sweet deal and you're

either a suspect or a witness to murder! 3:15 PM board motorcoach. Short stop on way

back to Greenfield Community Center. 4:30 PM Arrive back to the Community Center.

Tuesday, July 11th- Mississippi Paddleboat, Newburg, NY- Bus leaves the Greenfield

Community Center at 9:00 am, brief stop if desired. Noon buffet lunch The River Grill.

Please choose one entree when signing up: 1) Penne Al Vodka, Penne tossed in a

tomato cream sauce with fresh diced tomatoes and scallion, 2) Stuffed Filet of Sole

Filet of Sole filled with Crabmeat topped Lemon Beurre Blanc 3) Chicken Marsala

breast of chicken served with mushrooms in light Marsala sauce or 4) Sliced Flank Steak

thinly finishes with Au Ju. All served with garden salad with house dressing, Warm

Brownine Sundae for desset. Soft drinks, coffee and tea available. 1:30 pm arrive to the

Mississippi Paddle Boat. Come aboard the River Rose, an authentic stern driven

Mississippi paddle wheeler and enjoy a breathtaking cruise on the majestic Hudson River.

The 2 hour cruise will head south from Newburg, and include a narrated tour of

historically significant sites such as Bannerman's Island, the Catskill Water Aqueduct, the

Village of Cold Spring, World's End and our great military academy at West Point.

Wednesday, August 30th-  MacHayden Theatre, Chatham, NY- Bus leaves the

Greenfield Community Center at 10:30 AM. No planned stops. 12:00 PM will have a

Buffet lunch at Jackson's Old Chatham House. 1:15 PM Depart Jackson's Old Chatham

House. 1:30 PM Arrive at MacHayden Theatre. 2:00 PM show Hello Dolly- One of the

greatest musicals of all time. That's right; Dolly is back and ready to change lives

including her own! 3:30 PM board bus. Will have a short stop if desired. 5:30 PM Arrive

back at the Community Center. Cost - $54.00

 

Wednesday, September 20th  -  Lake George Steamboat , Lake Geroge, NY-  Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 10:00 AM.  Board Saint Sacdrament at 11:00 AM.  Boat departs Dock at 12:00 pm. Sample Luncheon Menu. Changes in menu selection are at Chef's discretion. Soup du Jou, Tossed Garden Salad, Assorted Salads, Tomato & Cucumber Trays, Fresh baked Rolls with Butter. Two Hot Entrees (Chef's Choice), One Vegetarian Entree (Chef's Choice), Freshly Carved Deli Sandwiches, choice of Ham, Beef or Turkey, Assorted Breads, Assorted Cheeses, Coffee, Tea, Iced Tea and Dessert. 2:00 PM boat returns to dock. 2:30 pm reboard bus. Stop enroute if desired. Arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 4:00 PM.   Cost - $38.00

Wednesday, October 18th-  The Beeches Inn, Rome, NY - Bus departs from the

Greenfield Community Center at 8:15 AM. Will stop while enroute. 11:30 AM Lunch

(buffet) and Show: Witches Brew. Witches Brew takes you on a journey to a far off place

to meet the bitter and evil Witch of Halloween. Be sure to meet and greet with the

characters after the show to take pictures., This show definitely fills your goody basket

with quality from start to finish! This is an adult show that is child Friendly. This show

comes fully loaded with over 20 show tunes,standard original works, full costume, make-

up, and magical spells. 3:00 PM board bus.Will stop enroute to home. 6:30 PM estimated

arrival to the Community Center. Cost - $52.00

Tuesday, November 28nd  -  Villa Roma, Callicoon, NY Christmas Holidays  -  Bus leaves the Greenfield Community Center at 6:45 AM. Bus will stop enroute.  Arrive at Villa Roma with coffee and cake at 10:30 AMl. Lunch is at noon in the Main dining room. Fruit Cup and Itallian Wedding Soup to start off with. Choose 1 when signing up: Roast Turkey, Leg of Lamb or Shrimp Scampi. All served with starch, and assorted vegetables, dessert coffee, tea and decaf. 1:45 the show Christmas Holiday Entertainment: Mary Mancini, Mario Tacca and Company perform your favorite holiday music during this festive holiday season. There will be a complete schedule of daytime activities upon arrival: Indoor sport complex with bocce, shuffleboard, ping pong, table and video games. Indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fully equipped fitness center. Depart Villa Roma at 3:30 PM with a stop enroute and arrive back at the Community Center at approximately 7:30 PM  -  Cost $37.00
