The Town of Greenfield Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs to Greenfield families and plans events for all ages throughout the year. We provide a safe and fun environment with opportunities for all, where friendships can be made and we can celebrate our community.
We work hard to provide Greenfield residents with year-round recreation programming and events, from sports leagues and clinics to holiday and other family events. Even an old-fashioned half-day summer camp program in the summer. Scholarships are available! Sign up now.
The Town of Greenfield has multiple playgrounds for your enjoyment. They include:
333 Alpine Meadows Rd. Porter Corners, NY
A brand new (2022) playground at Brookhaven Park & Golf Course that is made from recycled ocean waste.
428 Middle Grove Rd. Middle Grove, NY
This playground and park was renovated in 2020.
1 Line Drive Porter Corners, NY
In the center of our three baseball fields that attract hundreds of guests throughout the season, sits an old-fashioned swing set and a large oversized rock. Plans to add to this playground are in the works! Porter Corners Dog Park is also on-site with some fenced in agility fun for dogs and a ¼ mile creekside trail gives access for some creek play.

The Town of Greenfield’s summer day camp is a huge sold out hit every year with its 5-week, morning format and a full array of traditional activities.
We cannot use our regular Greenfield Elementary this summer due to construction. Campers spend 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. this year at Maple Ave. Middle School.
Campers spend 8:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. at the charming Greenfield Elementary School, at 3180 Route 9N, that sits in a rural setting just a few miles from Saratoga Springs in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Activities include rotating stations of fun, featuring such things as obstacle courses, hiking, gardening, Taekwondo, arts and crafts, as well as many organized games and sports like soccer, flag football, kickball and more. Campers participate in themed days like “Super Hero” or “Hat Day” and painting, tie-dying and rock climbing. They receive weekly visits from Uncharted Wild LLC to encounter live wild animals, regularly scheduled “Water Days” for splashing around and even the chance to pal around with some local llamas. Rainy day activities bring the children inside to the school’s gymnasium and cafeteria. Fridays often end each week on a sweet note with ice cream treats.
Students ages 5 to 14 are welcome and will be supervised with a 2:10 counselor/camper ratio. The camp features 30 trained camp counselors, most of whom once attended this camp themselves. Parents can choose early drop off for an additional cost and all students are eligible for the town’s Free Lunch Program, daily on-site after camp. Signups open in March to Town of Greenfield residents, and in April open to the public.
Signups start in January. This camp sells out every year, so sign up early.
The Town of Greenfield employs 30 counselors each summer and has a few spots for “counselors-in-training,” age 15 and up. Leadership opportunities exist for the senior most counselors.
