Brookhaven Winter Park

In the winter months, Brookhaven turns into a winter wonderland its free ski and snowshoe park. Visitors can enjoy 20 kilometers of groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails as well as a full-service restaurant for après-ski refreshments. The town recently added all new-trail markings, a map that can be easily accessed through a QR code from a mobile phone, and many new wooded and open terrain trails of varying lengths and difficulty. Updates on trail conditions can be found on Facebook by following Brookhaven Winter Park

Current Conditions

March 24, 2024: We had closed the winter park, pulled the protectors off the greens and removed our ski signs, beginning preparation for our golf course to open April 1st.

Then 2 days later, we get this glorious snow storm. We are happy seeing everyone enjoying our park today and one of our groomers is hoping to work on the Blue, Pink and Red trail this afternoon. Please ski with caution by the golf greens.

Current News and Information

Grooming Schedule

Weather permitting, the course is groomed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On these days, the course is usually groomed early in the morning or very late in the afternoon. There are no safety issues if you wish to ski while we are grooming. If there is a snow event in between grooming days, we make every effort to groom the course as soon as possible. We cannot groom in the rain or when the temperature goes above 31F. Please keep in mind the Winter Park is always a lot of fun to ski, even if it hasn’t been freshly groomed.

Map

Our trails are well marked. But feel free to bring a printed out copy or access with a mobile phone and the QR code.

Rules

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed at Brookhaven Park & Golf Course at this time. No fat or other bikes on the trails please.

Please take out what you bring in.

Volunteer & Donate

Brookhaven Winter Park is maintained by a group of community volunteers, who work under the direction of our Recreation Director Jen Zeisler. We are always looking for more people to add to this growing group of outdoor enthusiasts. Call Jen at 518-893-7432, ext. 307 to be added to our list and take an occasional or regular shift at helping out onsite.

We currently do not charge to use our ski and snowshoe park. Donations can be made at the box near the bench in the parking lot behind the club house. There is also one inside at The View Restaurant. Ski hats will also be available for purchase and the proceeds directly benefit the park.

Checks can also be dropped off to Town Hall or mailed to Town of Greenfield Recreation Dept, PO Box 10, Wilton Rd., Greenfield Center, NY 12833. Checks can be made payable to Brookhaven Winter Park.
