Daketown Schoolhouse will be open June 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
If you can squeeze it in, stop by with the family to spend a few minutes walking through an important piece of Greenfield history: the one-room Daketown Schoolhouse, that dates back to late 1800s. Historians will be on-site and you can view some original relics inside. Daketown Schoolhouse was the last one-room schoolhouse to close when the schools consolidated in 1956. This event is being presented by the Greenfield Historical Society. Did you know you can be a member of this important nod to our heritage for just $10? Or buy a lifetime membership for $100. Help keep our history alive!
