A big thank you to Channon Emigh, Bob Ferrari, Bobbi Madison and Jared Bishop from the Town of Greenfield Parks department for giving the caboose a touch up. Bob, Bobbi and Jared sanded the caboose and Channon and Jared did the painting. A number of other repairs are also in the works.
The caboose is an authentic wooden framed and sided piece of railroad history dating back to the early 1900s. It sits next to our original train depot at 4000 Rt 9N known as Kings Station. Stop by and take a look anytime or better yet join the Town of Greenfield Historical society in early August for Caboose Day. It is a fun-filled day with food, vendors, train rides and a chance to tour the inside of the depot and caboose.
