Tap into your adventurous spirit and join us for a snowshoe race this Saturday at 10 a.m. Rentals are available and you don’t need experience to enter the fun. If racing isn’t your style, come try out snowshoeing or Nordic skiing anyways and join us for TOG Winterfest.

The event will begin with a 5K snowshoe race. Families or individuals are invited to register for $27 a person at https://www.runreg.com/brookhaven-trails-snowshoe-race. Snowshoes are available for rental for $15 for adults and $10 for kids and seniors. Register in advance for a free tee-shirt.

At 10 a.m. a Winterfest Celebration will also be taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Winterfest includes free horse and carriage rides, a snowman building competition, outdoor story time, food specials, live music and more. Check out our rental & gift shop — there a really fun items for sale.

Brookhaven Winter Park is located at 333 Alpine Meadows Rd. in Porter Corners. Brookhaven Winter Park is the Town of Greenfield’s free Nordic ski and snowshoe park. This year the park added a winter rental and gift shop, Thursdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday night our shop is open until 6 p.m. Guests may rent both Nordic skis or snowshoes on a first-come, first-serve basis. The park features seven cross-country trails and two snowshoe loops, a total of 20 kilometers of trails.
