The Greenfield Town Board is the five-person legislative body of the Town of Greenfield. The board includes four council members, who are elected for a four-year term and the supervisor who is elected for a two-year term. Under the presiding leadership of the supervisor, this board oversees the town budget and is responsible for its fiscal policies. The board hires all town employees, with the exception of those elected officials, and appoints members of the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. The board together determines the short-and long-term goals of the town. All Town Board meetings are open to the public.
Town meetings are open to the public and held at Town Hall at 7 Wilton Rd.
The agenda meeting is held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. At this meeting, the agenda is set for the official board meeting the following Thursday.
The regular monthly meeting is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. This meeting follows a set agenda. Comments can be made if they pertain to the agenda items. If one is interested in being added to a Town Board agenda, they may call the Town Clerk at least a week prior for consideration.
