Our Code Enforcement team administers and enforces the codes and laws as defined by New York State. These statutes, laws and codes provide direction for the administration and enforcement of Town Code, Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Code of NYS, as well as such other codes applicable to NYS Department of Health. The most important functions of our Code Enforcement Department are to serve our community in all facets of community health, welfare and safety. These activities include periodic inspections for Fire Safety and Property Maintenance, administration and enforcement of complaints received, and educating our community members in thoughtful, intuitive ways to promote public safety.
