Sign Up Now for Ladies Luncheon, Lesson & Tee Party Special Event August 4

GREENFIELD N.Y. – The Town of Greenfield has opened registration for a “tee party” of its own kind at Brookhaven Golf course, 333 Alpine Meadows Rd. The event is for golfers of all skill levels but requires no experience. The event will be held Aug. 4  from noon to 3 p.m. Register here.

Ladies are invited to join for one-hour group lesson at the driving range, where participants will be grouped by skill level and work with a golf professional. After the lesson, the ladies gather for a lunch at The View Restaurant. One beverage of choice and lunch are included with registration, which costs $60 for residents and $70 for nonresidents. Women are invited to dress in their “florals, frills and fascinators” for the event. After lunch, participants have the option of playing up to 18 holes if they so desire. A maximum of 75 participants can register. The town held a similar “ladies lesson and luncheon” in May and it was sold out.

“We were so thrilled at the success of our first lesson and lunch event that we immediately scheduled another,” said Recreation Director Jen Zeisler. “We love offering the public the opportunity to enjoy our community and experience the wonderful resource we have with Brookhaven Golf Course right in our own backyard.”

“We are always happy to spread a love of golf to more people,” said Head Golf Pro Anthony Therrien. “We are trying to offer a no pressure opportunity for ladies to improve at or learn the sport and have a good time doing so. We hope it will help build new golf friendships and a love for the sport.”

The Town of Greenfield is home to 8,200 residents and spans more than 41,000 acres of land, making it the largest town in Saratoga County, by square mile. O.B. Beyer Recreation Park Inc., an employee organization of the International Paper Mill in Corinth, N.Y., opened the Brookhaven facility in 1960 and donated it to the Town in 2011. Brookhaven is a municipal golf course that sits in the foothills of the Adirondacks, in Porter Corners, just minutes from Saratoga Springs. Its slogan, “Not your ordinary walk in the woods,” refers to the mission of preserving the natural integrity of the 395-acres of land, while making it available to residents for recreational use. In the winter, the park features more than 20 kilometers of groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails.

 Please note:

Clubs are available for use, but please indicate you need them when you register.

It costs $60 for TOG residents and $70 for nonresidents.  Please register online here. This event is sure to fill up quickly!
