The scenery is unmatched at this gorgeous municipal golf course, that the town received as a donation in 2011. The course has become more successful each year. In 2019, the course doubled in revenue and increased the number of rounds played by 8,000!
In 2021, Brookhaven Golf Course’s Head Golf Professional Anthony Therrien has been named one of the “top ten PGA Jr. captains” by PGA.com. The website, which represents the national golf professional association of more than 29,000 golf professionals and the leading experts on the game of golf, identified Therrien in its article “Ten PGA Jr. League Captains Who Inspired a Decade of Dominance” on November 3.
This golf course was designed by golf legend George Pulver. Locals happily boasts that LPGA golfing champion and television broadcaster Dottie Pepper learned the game of golf as a youth from Pulver at Brookhaven. Pepper has been a major advocate for growing the game of golf at Brookhaven by offering great support each year.
Across the street from the golf course, there is a new playground (made of recycled ocean waste) and a large picnic pavilion available for rental. Coming soon, the winter ski trails will be cleared for summer hiking.
Don’t miss a visit to dine at The View Restaurant, with home-cooked menu and a scenic patio with fire tables. The restaurant offers home-cooked meals and entertainment on the weekend. It is also available for events and catering at the picnic pavilion.
Visit our Brookhaven Winter Park website here. In the winter months, Brookhaven turns into a winter wonderland its free ski and snowshoe park. Visitors can enjoy 20 kilometers of groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails as well as a full-service restaurant for après-ski refreshments. The town recently added all new-trail markings, a map that can be easily accessed through a QR code from a mobile phone, and many new wooded and open terrain trails of varying lengths and difficulty. Updates on trail conditions can be found on Facebook by following Brookhaven Winter Park. The Recreation Department runs a earn-to-ski program, many snowshoe and cross-country ski races and an annual “Full Moon Party.” Click here for a 2023 Detailed Brookhaven Ski Map.

If trains and history pique your interest, this landmark is for you. Kings Station was a station depot of Adirondack Railroad, dating back to 1865. The more than 100-year-old antique caboose was completely refurbished in 2010. Both are set up as historic replicas and you can stop by for photos outside or attend our Annual Caboose Day each August for a full tour. If you would like a tour throughout the year contact the Greenfield Historical Society.
